I am a songwriter first—then a singer, performer, and actor. I write contemporary Christian music with the hope of expanding its reach far beyond a small coffeehouse audience and into spaces where these songs can truly connect with others.

I currently perform my original music through two projects: Denny Miller and Blue Starr, an acoustic duo/trio, and Galilee, a four-piece band designed for larger venues. Together, we perform primarily in churches, coffeehouses, and festivals.

My musical journey began early. I have been playing piano and keyboards since the age of seven, and by twelve I had placed an ad in the newspaper offering my services as a summer keyboardist—playing weddings and a graduation while my friends were mowing lawns. I wrote my first song in junior high and have played in various bands throughout much of my life. After becoming a Christian, my songwriting shifted as God began inspiring music rooted in praise and worship.

Alongside music, I have a long-standing love for acting and theatre, dating back to my first role at age nine. I founded and ran a community theatre in Orrville, Ohio, producing, directing, and acting as needed, and later served as Drama Director at Orrville High School for five years. I have written plays and musicals, though theatre now remains secondary to my music.

I am a 2025 alum of The ARTS, where I continued to expand my skills across performance and media. Additional experience includes serving as a substitute Sunday morning talk show host at WAKR Television in Akron, Ohio, during the summer of 1979, and providing football and basketball play-by-play for the University of Akron on WAUP Radio during my freshman year. I have received coaching with Ashley Myers with Applause International and will be working with Ruby Collins and Armonia & Co. in 2026.

Outside of the performing arts, I enjoy golf, reading novels and biographies, and watching sports. I am married, have four children, eleven grandchildren—and yes, I have a passport.
